About the work

Bold, gestural strokes bring together abstracted human figures and a powerful horse in swirling motion, set against a vibrant field of yellow, red, and blue. The composition pulses with raw energy, blending figurative outlines with expressive painterly marks that dissolve into pure colour.

Darwish has exhibited widely in Egypt and internationally, with notable institutional exhibitions at the Cairo Opera House, the Palace of Arts, and the Egyptian Academy in Rome. His participation in the 11th International Cairo Biennale and the Alexandria Biennale further established his reputation within the regional art scene.
