Our Guarantee

Opening

Artsamy operates at the standard the region's art deserves. The guarantees below reflect how we work — and how we resolve issues when they arise.

Authenticity

Every artwork on Artsamy is verified before it is listed. We confirm artist attribution, provenance, and condition with the seller of record and, where relevant, with independent specialists. Every sale ships with a Certificate of Authenticity issued by Artsamy.

If you have credible reason to doubt the authenticity of a piece acquired through Artsamy, notify us in writing within twelve months of delivery, together with supporting evidence. Where the claim merits it, we commission an independent third-party review by a specialist in the artist's period or medium. If the piece is confirmed inauthentic, we issue a full refund of the amount paid to Artsamy and coordinate return of the work at our cost. Ancillary expenses (insurance, framing, storage, taxes paid on import) are reviewed case by case and reimbursed where reasonable and documented.

Provenance

Every artwork page lists the seller of record, the year the piece entered the seller's holdings, and any prior ownership where relevant and disclosable. Provenance is described transparently, including where it is incomplete. We do not list pieces with knowingly false or manipulated provenance.

Condition as described

Every piece is photographed and condition-reported before listing. If a work arrives in a condition materially different from what was published — undisclosed damage, restoration not previously noted, or a material discrepancy from the photographs on the page — write to collect@artsamy.com within seven days of delivery, with photographs of the piece as received and of its packaging.

Where a claim is disputed, we may commission an independent assessment. Where a valid condition claim is confirmed, we resolve to a full refund, a replacement (subject to availability), or a partial credit, at our reasonable discretion and in consultation with you. Return shipping in confirmed cases is coordinated and paid by Artsamy.

Shipping and insurance

Every artwork ships via specialist fine-art logistics partners in museum-standard packing, and every shipment is insured door to door at declared value. In the event of confirmed transit loss or damage, we manage the insurance claim and coordinate a resolution on behalf of the buyer — replacement where possible, refund otherwise.

No undisclosed fees

The total you agree on at sale is the total you pay Artsamy. Shipping and insurance are quoted and confirmed before payment. Customs duties and any taxes payable on import in the destination country are estimated in advance and are the buyer's responsibility, as they would be with any international purchase.

Personal handling

Every sale on Artsamy is handled by a member of our team, not an automated system. Sale-related messages are answered within six hours during business days (Sunday through Thursday, Amman time); other inquiries within twenty-four hours. If we ever fall short of these targets, the delay is acknowledged directly.

Your right to step back

A confirmed sale may be cancelled at any time prior to dispatch, with a full refund. Once the piece has dispatched, cancellation is not available; the return policy above applies within seven days of delivery.

Scope

These guarantees apply to sales completed through Artsamy and are subject to the buyer following the notification windows, evidence requirements, and processes described above. They sit alongside — and do not limit — any statutory rights available to the buyer under applicable consumer protection law.
