Al-Obaidi's artistic journey is marked by a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary styles, often employing the Thuluth and Naskh scripts. His notable works include the calligraphy for the 'Mushaf Al-Faisal' completed in 2017 for the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in Riyadh. He has showcased his art in solo exhibitions, such as the 2009 exhibition in Sharjah, invited by HRH Prince Sultan Al-Qasimi, and the 2017 exhibition in Luxembourg.
