Mothanna Al-Obaidi, born in 1972 in Ramadi, Iraq, is a distinguished calligrapher renowned for his mastery of Arabic script. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Baghdad in 1995 and pursued his passion for calligraphy under the tutelage of Abbas Al-Baghdadi at the Iraqi Calligraphers Association, obtaining a high-level certification.
