Ziad Dalloul (زياد دلول), born in 1953 in Syria, is a prominent contemporary artist known for his evocative paintings and works on paper. Dalloul’s artistic practice is characterized by a poetic exploration of memory, landscape, and the interplay between abstraction and figuration. His works often feature layered textures and a nuanced palette, reflecting both his Syrian heritage and his experiences living abroad. Dalloul studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus before continuing his education at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he has been based for much of his career.
