Greece

Yiannis Gourzis, a Greek artist, has made significant contributions to the field of engraving and drawing. His work has been showcased in numerous solo exhibitions across Greece, including notable venues such as Gallery 7 in Athens (1989, 1992), Evmaros Art Gallery in Athens (1991), and the Macedonian Art Society "TECHNI" in Thessaloniki (1992, 1995). In 1993, he presented his engravings at the Art Center Apopsi in Athens, accompanied by a catalogue. His 1994 exhibition at ARTFORUM Gallery in Thessaloniki also featured a catalogue. Further exhibitions include the Municipal Gallery in Mykonos (1999) and a retrospective at the Museum of Rhodes in 2017. Gourzis has also participated in two-artist exhibitions, such as the 2007 presentation at the War Museum featuring the "Thourios" collection crafted in 2006-2007. His international presence includes exhibitions at the Hellenic Cultural Foundation in Sofia, Bulgaria, and the University of Plovdiv in 2009. In 2016, his work was featured at the Hydra Museum-Historical Archive in the exhibition "Rigas Velestinlis, the Global Greek."
