Xin Yin

China

Yin Xin, born in 1959 in Kashgar, Xinjiang Province, China, is a painter renowned for his fusion of Eastern and Western artistic traditions. He studied at Xinjiang Normal University and the Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts before furthering his education at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. In 1994, Yin Xin settled in Paris, where he continues to live and work. ([10chancerylanegallery.com](https://www.10chancerylanegallery.com/artists/218-yin-xin/biography/?utm_source=openai))

Yin Xin's distinctive style involves reimagining classic Western masterpieces by incorporating Chinese elements, thereby creating a dialogue between the two cultures. His "Metamorphoses" series exemplifies this approach, where he integrates Chinese figures and motifs into traditional Western compositions. This body of work has been showcased in solo exhibitions such as "Dialogue Across Time: Yin Xin Reimagines the Masters" at Rossi Contemporary Art Gallery in Brussels (2021) and "Old Master Revisited" at Galerie Paris-Beijing in Paris (2018). Yin Xin's works are held in several prominent private and public collections, including The Louvre Museum in Paris, The National Art Museum of China in Beijing, The Hong Kong Museum of Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and The British Museum in London.
