Shahina ajmal

Pakistan

Shahina Ajmal is a Pakistani visual artist renowned for her evocative landscape paintings that capture the natural beauty of Pakistan. Her work predominantly features oil on canvas, portraying serene and picturesque scenes that reflect her deep connection to her homeland.

In May 2013, Ajmal held a charitable exhibition titled "Art for Humanity" at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of Sheikha Alyazia bint Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. The exhibition showcased 30 of her paintings, with proceeds aimed at supporting students of the Pakistani community school in Musaffah, in collaboration with the Red Crescent. The event was inaugurated by Jamil Ahmed Khan, the Pakistani ambassador to the UAE, who praised the cultural ties between Pakistan and the UAE and highlighted Ajmal's role in promoting artistic appreciation among the youth in the region.

Ajmal holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts and is considered a pioneer in Abu Dhabi's art scene. In 1986, she established the Free Studio at the Cultural Foundation, where she taught various art styles to numerous Emirati and expatriate students. Her contributions have been recognized with multiple awards and certificates of appreciation.
