About the work

A richly layered surrealist print divides the composition into multiple panels, combining a darkly rendered seated figure, fragmented body parts, geometric cubes, and missiles with scattered bursts of color against a predominantly monochrome background. Arabic inscriptions weave through the upper register, adding textual and cultural depth to the enigmatic scene.

Sattar Darawish (Iraq).
