Samar Haddadin

Jordan

Samar Haddadin, born in Amman in 1965, is a Jordanian visual artist whose work predominantly explores themes of nature and human emotion through expressive and abstract styles. She earned a bachelor's degree in archaeology and history from the University of Jordan in 1983 and further honed her artistic skills at the Institute of Fine Arts and Music in 1990. Haddadin studied under notable artists such as Ibrahim Al-Abdali, Salam Kanaan, and Said Haddadin.

Throughout her career, Haddadin has participated in numerous exhibitions both locally and internationally. In 2010, she represented Jordan at the Women's Art Biennale in Sharjah, showcasing works that emphasized environmental themes. Her art has been featured in various countries, including Greece, where she held a solo exhibition in 2019 at the historic Markellos Tower in Aegina. Haddadin's pieces are part of collections in institutions such as the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts.

Haddadin's artistic approach is characterized by a blend of expressive and abstract elements, often depicting natural landscapes and human figures with vibrant colors and dynamic compositions. Her work reflects a deep connection to her environment and cultural heritage, aiming to evoke emotional responses and provoke thought among viewers.
