About the work

A richly coloured landscape fills the canvas with stylized tall trees in burnt orange and brown rising above a cluster of compact village buildings, all bathed in a warm, deep red atmosphere. The simplified forms and bold outlines give the scene a lively, folk-inspired expressiveness.
