Italy

Roberto Lacentra, born in Bologna, Italy, in 1950, is a self-taught figurative artist known for his diverse body of work encompassing painting and mosaic art. After earning a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bologna, Lacentra dedicated 25 years to developing business software for minicomputers before transitioning to internet site development. Since 2000, he has devoted more time to his artistic pursuits, establishing his studio, ARTEBO, in Bologna.

Lacentra's artistic repertoire includes three primary series: "Aerei in Volo," featuring paintings of airplanes in flight against aerial landscapes; "Fantasia," a collection of whimsical, ironic, and humorous works; and "Mosaico," showcasing modern artistic mosaics. A notable piece from his mosaic series is "Flamingo," completed in August 2019, measuring 3.1 by 1.6 meters and composed of ceramic, glass, mirror, and marble. His works are available through platforms like Saatchi Art and Pixels, where he has been active since 2014 and 2010, respectively.
