Refki El Razzaz, born on May 15, 1958, in Al-Daqahlia, Egypt, is a distinguished Egyptian artist known for his evocative paintings that blend elements of ancient Egyptian art with modern abstraction. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the Faculty of Art Education at Helwan University in 1981. El Razzaz's work is characterized by soft abstraction and geometric lines, often reminiscent of ancient Egyptian wall carvings. His paintings frequently explore themes from Egyptian folklore and mythology, employing oil on wood to create textured, layered compositions.

Throughout his career, El Razzaz has held numerous solo exhibitions at esteemed venues, including the Cairo Atelier in 1983, the Royal Cultural Center in Amman in 1985 and 1987, the Shoman Center for Scientific Research in Amman in 1990, and the Cairo Opera House in 1997. His work has also been showcased internationally, with exhibitions in Athens in 2004, New Delhi in 2012, and Beijing in 2013. Notably, his paintings have been acquired by prominent institutions such as the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art, the Arab Institute in Paris, the Jordan National Museum, and UNESCO.

El Razzaz's contributions to the art world extend beyond his paintings; he has served as a member of the Fine Artists Association and the Cairo Atelier Association.
