Lebanon

Raymond Chouity, a Lebanese artist, is renowned for his evocative paintings that blend surrealism with elements of nature and human emotion. His works often explore themes of light and shadow, drawing inspiration from the landscapes of Lebanon and the vast deserts of the Arabian Peninsula. Chouity's artistic journey began in the 1970s when he collaborated with poet Yusuf al-Khal at Gallery One in Beirut, a cultural hub that showcased prominent artists and intellectuals. He later managed the gallery before the onset of the Lebanese Civil War.

Throughout his career, Chouity has exhibited his art internationally, including notable shows in India, Australia, New York, and Baghdad. In 2015, he held a solo exhibition at Naila Art Gallery in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featuring 60 paintings that delved into themes of humanity, love, and generosity. His 2019 exhibition, "Silent Chants," also at Naila Art Gallery, presented works with a Sufi inclination, reflecting his deep spiritual explorations. In the same year, he showcased his art in Amman, Jordan, at the Ittilaat Al-Luweibdeh Gallery, offering a panoramic view of his two-decade-long artistic evolution.

Beyond painting, Chouity has made significant contributions to event design, particularly in orchestrating grand weddings and royal ceremonies. His background in fine arts and interior design has enabled him to revolutionize wedding aesthetics in Lebanon and the Gulf region. Despite the challenges posed by the Lebanese Civil War, he continued his artistic pursuits, eventually relocating to Riyadh, where he managed "Desert Rose," a prominent floral and event design company. Chouity's multifaceted career underscores his dedication to art and design, leaving a lasting impact on both fields.
