Omar Najar

Jordan, b. 1992

Omar Najjar, born in 1992 in Amman, Jordan, is a contemporary artist recognized for his distinctive style, which he describes as "structured chaos." A graduate of the University of Jordan's Fine Arts Department in 2014, Najjar has developed a modern impressionistic approach that elevates everyday subjects to a sublime level, offering profound insights into the human experience.

Najjar's work has been showcased in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the Middle East and Europe. Notable solo exhibitions include "Thirty-Six Interpretations" at Wadi Finan Art Gallery in Amman in 2016, where he presented diverse scenes from nature and daily life, each treated as an individual interpretation. In 2020, his exhibition "Rhapsody" at Fann A Porter in Amman featured a series of oil paintings depicting orchestras in action, conveying the passion and sound of music through his contemporary impressionist style.

His group exhibitions encompass participation in the 7th Beirut Art Fair in 2016, where he showcased impressionistic paintings inspired by cinematic scenes, aiming to introduce new meanings of art. Additionally, his works have been included in exhibitions at Albareh Art Gallery in Bahrain and BBA Gallery in Berlin, Germany.

Najjar's paintings are part of various private and public collections, including the Palestine Museum in the USA. His innovative approach and evocative use of color and form continue to resonate with audiences, solidifying his position in the contemporary art scene.
