About the work

A seated woman with curly hair adorned with a floral headpiece gazes directly at the viewer, her open robe partially draped as a stylized dove hovers beside her against a warm ochre background. The work blends expressive line drawing with delicate watercolor washes, lending the figure a decorative, almost folkloric character.
