Muhanna Al Durra (1938–2021) is widely recognized as a pioneering figure in modern Jordanian art. Born in Amman, Al Durra is credited with introducing Cubism and abstract art to Jordan, significantly shaping the country’s visual arts movement. He worked primarily in painting, exploring a range of mediums including oil and watercolor, and his style evolved from figurative compositions to more abstract and geometric forms.
