Mouteea Murad (born 1977, Syria) is a prominent contemporary Syrian artist known for his vibrant geometric abstractions that draw on both Islamic art traditions and modernist aesthetics. Working primarily in painting, Murad’s practice explores the interplay of color, form, and structure, often referencing the intricate patterns found in Islamic architecture and design. His compositions are characterized by meticulous arrangements of shapes and a dynamic use of color, reflecting a dialogue between heritage and innovation.

Murad has exhibited widely in the Middle East and internationally.
