Egypt

Mostafa Sleem, born in El Minia, Egypt, in 1981, is a distinguished visual artist and painter known for his compelling figurative works. Utilizing acrylics and oil paints, he delves into the human form, exploring themes of identity and cultural heritage. Beyond his paintings, Sleem has made significant contributions to children's art education, authoring 30 instructional books between 2006 and 2008 that simplify drawing concepts for young learners. He has also illustrated over 100 children's books and designed covers for esteemed authors like Sonallah Ibrahim and Ibrahim Abdel Qadir El Mazini.

Sleem's artistic journey includes numerous solo exhibitions, such as "Bent Embareh" (2013), "Protein" (2014), and "Gymno" (2017) at Art Corner Gallery. His work has been showcased in prominent group exhibitions, including the General Exhibitions at the Palace of Arts (2003, 2012), "Saturated Souls" at Darb 1718 (2010), and "Face of Women" at Alliance Française de Port-Saïd. Internationally, his art has been featured at the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Pennsylvania (2012) and NordArt in Germany (2014). In 2022, he presented "Saqi Al-Alhan," focusing on Nubian and traditional musical bands, at Azad Art Gallery in Zamalek.

Sleem's works are part of esteemed collections, including the Museum of Modern Art at the Cairo Opera House and Picasso Art Gallery. His paintings, such as "News" (2024), have been offered in the art market, reflecting his growing prominence. Through his evocative portrayals and dedication to art education, Sleem continues to enrich the Egyptian and international art scenes.
