About the work

Three loosely rendered human figures emerge from a warm mosaic of terracotta, ochre, and muted pink tones, their forms fragmented and overlapping in a gestural, expressionist style. The painting carries an atmosphere of quiet intensity, with bold brushwork dissolving the boundaries between the figures and their surroundings.

Mongi Maatoug (Tunisia).
