Mohammad Ali

Egypt

Mohamed Mohamed Ali Ahmed, known professionally as Mohamed Ali, was an Egyptian painter born on August 5, 1930, in Cairo, and passed away on October 3, 2009. Initially a jeweler specializing in gold and precious metals, Ali transitioned into painting, becoming a self-taught artist. His work is characterized by spontaneous expression, reflecting a deep connection to Egyptian heritage and contemporary themes.

Ali held several solo exhibitions, including shows at Al-Ghury Agency in 1968, Cairo Atelier in 1983, and the Holland Institute of Arab Researches and Egyptian Monuments in 1988. He was an active member of various art associations, such as the Asala Association for Contemporary and Heritage Arts Care and the Wisdom Association of Technology and Arts. His contributions to the art scene were recognized with honors, including a Certificate of Merit from the 2nd Exhibition of Friends of the Spontaneous Art in 2005.

Ali's works are part of private collections in Egypt and abroad, as well as state collections like the African Museum in France and the Broadcast in Germany. His artistic journey reflects a dedication to spontaneous art, deeply rooted in Egyptian culture and history.
