Mohamed Hamidi (محمد حميدي), born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1941, is a prominent Moroccan painter and a foundational figure in the country’s post-independence modern art movement. Hamidi was a co-founder of the Casablanca Art School movement in the 1960s, which sought to integrate Moroccan visual heritage with contemporary artistic practices.
