Mohamed Magdy Qannawi, born on October 12, 1943, in Alexandria, Egypt, is a distinguished printmaker and educator. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Printmaking from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Alexandria in 1964, followed by a Master's in Printmaking in 1975. Furthering his studies, he obtained a diploma from the High Institute of Graphic Arts in Urbino, Italy, in 1981.
