Palestine

Katy Noufi is a Palestinian artist who pursued her passion for art alongside her studies in biology and medical sciences at the University of Haifa. After a brief tenure as a teacher, she dedicated herself fully to the arts, viewing it as a profound medium for self-expression and a reflection of her identity as a woman. Through her participation in various exhibitions, including those featuring international artists, Noufi has effectively represented Palestinian narratives, emphasizing unity and cultural expression. Among her notable works are paintings addressing themes such as cancer and the COVID-19 pandemic, which hold significant personal meaning for her. Her pieces have garnered recognition, winning several prizes and achieving sales, though she expresses a bittersweet sentiment upon parting with her creations, feeling as though she has lost a part of her soul.
