Katrina Sadrak

Poland

Dr. Katrina Sadrak, born in 1978, is a Polish visual artist whose work bridges traditional painting techniques with cosmic themes. She earned her Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Jan Kochanowski University in Poland in 2021. Her artistic journey includes studying Eastern art and calligraphy at Tianjin Polytechnic University in China, where she honed her skills in traditional Chinese lacquer painting.

Sadrak's oeuvre is deeply influenced by her engagement with astronomers, cosmologists, and astrophotographers, leading her to explore the vastness of the universe through large-scale oil paintings. Her works depict cosmic phenomena such as nebulae and cosmic webs, aiming to capture the formation of the early universe and the echoes of the Big Bang.

Throughout her career, Sadrak has participated in over 180 exhibitions across Europe and Asia. Notable showcases include the Art Capital's Salon Comparaisons at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, where she exhibited with the Visionirique étrange group in 2023. Her paintings are held in esteemed collections such as The Hindiyeh Museum & Gallery in Amman, Jordan; Haegeumgang Theme Museum and Yukyung Art Museum in South Korea; and the Nasca Contemporary Art Collection in Tianjin, China.
