Jaber Alwan (جابر العلوان), born in Babylon, Iraq in 1948, is a prominent contemporary painter known for his expressive figurative works. After graduating from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1970, Alwan moved to Rome, Italy, where he continued his studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti. His artistic style is characterized by vibrant color palettes and dynamic compositions, often exploring themes of human emotion and movement.
