About the work

A solitary figure rendered in bold, gestural lines cradles a smaller form against a dark, heavily textured background, its expressive marks and stark tonal contrasts conveying a sense of quiet intensity. A decorative border of irregular circular shapes frames the composition, adding a ceremonial weight to this deeply atmospheric print.
