Iraq

Ibrahim Hussein Taieh, born in 1967 in Al-Hindiya, Karbala, Iraq, is a distinguished Iraqi artist specializing in graphic arts. He earned a diploma from the Institute of Fine Arts in 1991 and later obtained a bachelor's degree from the College of Fine Arts. As a member of the Union and Association of Fine Artists, Hussein has actively contributed to the Iraqi art scene.

Hussein's artistic journey began in the rural landscapes of the Middle Euphrates region, where he was deeply influenced by the daily lives of his farming family. This early exposure to rural life instilled in him a profound appreciation for nature and human interaction, themes that permeate his work. His talent was first recognized by his elder brother, a schoolteacher, who encouraged him to pursue art. Despite personal hardships, including the early loss of his brother, Hussein's determination led him to the Institute of Fine Arts, where he specialized in graphic arts under the mentorship of artist Rafiq Al-Nasiri.

Throughout his career, Hussein has held numerous solo exhibitions in cities such as Babylon, Karbala, and Baghdad. His participation extends to international platforms, including the Wasiti Festivals and exhibitions organized by the Association of Fine Artists. His works have been showcased in countries like the United States, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, and various Gulf nations. While Hussein explores various artistic schools, he exhibits a particular inclination towards expressionism and abstraction, reflecting his deep-seated emotions and experiences.
