Said Hafez Mahmoud Heddaya, known as Said Heddaya, was born in Alexandria, Egypt, in 1937. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cairo before pursuing further studies in Italy, where he obtained a Master's and PhD from the University of Urbino in 1978. Heddaya's artistic journey is deeply rooted in Egyptian folklore, with his works often depicting scenes filled with cultural symbols and narratives. His paintings are characterized by a unique style that blends traditional themes with modern techniques, reflecting a profound connection to his heritage.
