Hanan Mohamed Al-Said Moussa, known professionally as Hanan Mousa, is an Egyptian visual artist specializing in graphic arts and printmaking. Born on February 22, 1971, in Qalyubia, Egypt, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 1994, followed by a Master's in 2003, and a Ph.D. in 2016 from Helwan University. Mousa has held numerous solo exhibitions, including her 18th solo show titled "Khattein W Bas" ("Just Two Lines") in January 2023 at the Bab Selim Gallery in the Egyptian Opera House. This exhibition showcased her exploration of black ink on cotton paper and canvas, emphasizing the expressive potential of simple lines. In addition to her artistic practice, Mousa serves as the Head of the Central Administration for Studies and Research at the General Organization of Cultural Palaces. She has been instrumental in organizing and supervising numerous cultural conferences and workshops, including the International Scientific Conference "The Arab Cycle" in Luxor in 2017 and the International Scientific Conference of Specialized Palaces in Aswan in 2019.
