Hakim AlAqel (حكيم العاقل), born in 1965 in Yemen, is a prominent contemporary artist recognized for his significant contributions to Yemeni and Arab visual culture. Working primarily in painting, AlAqel’s oeuvre is characterized by vibrant color palettes and expressive forms, often drawing on themes rooted in Yemeni heritage and daily life.
