Hafsa Tamimi

Oman

Hafsa Al Tamimi, an Omani artist born in 1976, holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Ain Shams University in Egypt, earned in 1999. A member of the Omani Society for Fine Arts, she owns and operates the "Art & Heart" studio, where she provides art training. Her artistic repertoire spans realism, expressionism, and abstract symbolism, with a particular focus on portraying human features and emotions.

Throughout her career, Al Tamimi has showcased her work in numerous exhibitions both locally and internationally. Notably, in 2019, she held her third solo exhibition titled "Is it Color or Nun?" at the Dughlis Gallery in Jordan, featuring 56 abstract paintings that delve into the essence of womanhood across various cultures and religions. In 2024, her exhibition "My Mother's Figures" at Stal Gallery in Muscat presented 45 paintings highlighting the pivotal role of mothers in shaping individual identities and society.

Al Tamimi's contributions to the art world have been recognized with several awards. In 2000, she secured first place in the Modern Innovation Center competition in Dubai. She continued to earn accolades, including first place at the Youth Exhibition of Arts Contest in 2002 and third place in the Oman Telecommunications Company Competition in 2013. Her works have been acquired by various government entities and museums both within Oman and internationally, reflecting her significant impact on the art scene.
