About the work

Sweeping gestural brushstrokes in deep blue, violet, and black surge across the canvas in a turbulent, wave-like composition. The painting conveys raw energy and movement, with flashes of white and teal cutting through the dark mass of interlocking forms.

Fadi Haddadin

Jordan, b. 1989

Fadi Haddadin, born in Amman, Jordan, in 1989, is a contemporary visual artist known for his dynamic and colorful abstract paintings. He earned his bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the University of Jordan in 2012 and has been dedicated to his artistic practice since then. In 2016, Haddadin was honored with the Jamal Badran Award for Arts, recognizing his contributions to the field. Haddadin's work is characterized by vibrant color palettes and expressive brushwork, often exploring the interplay between visible and invisible elements. His first solo exhibition, "Invisible," was held in 2017 at Nabad Art Gallery in Amman, where he presented a series of paintings that invited viewers to delve beyond the surface. In 2019, he showcased his second solo exhibition, "KIRMIZI YAZ," at Kelimat Art Gallery in Istanbul. Additionally, Haddadin has participated in numerous group exhibitions and workshops both within Jordan and internationally, including the "From a Different Perspective" exhibition at Zara Gallery in 2018, which featured works from three generations of Jordanian artists. Haddadin's paintings have been praised for their ability to evoke deep visual and emotional responses, with art critic Ammar Khammash noting that his works "stir some visual/mental instincts we didn’t know that we had." ([jacarandaimages.com](https://www.jacarandaimages.com/fadi-haddadin-original-artworks?utm_source=openai)) Through his continuous exploration of color and form, Haddadin contributes to the rich tapestry of contemporary Jordanian art.
