Fadi Daoud

Jordan, b. 1984

Fadi Daoud, born in Fuheis, Jordan, in 1984, is a distinguished artist recognized for his flowing, linear painting style. He earned a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Jordan and a Master's in Islamic Art from Al Balqa University. Daoud's work is influenced by artists such as Hussein Bakeer, George Bahgouri, and Fargali Abdul Latif, and draws inspiration from Byzantine art and Sufism.

Daoud has held numerous solo exhibitions, including shows at Wadi Finan Art Gallery in Amman (2012, 2015), AlBareh Art Gallery in Bahrain (2015), and XOL Gallery in Baltimore, USA (2014). His group exhibitions span various countries, such as the Fifth Edition of Beirut Art Fair in Lebanon (2015) and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Yinchuan, China (2015).

In 2024, Daoud unveiled a mural titled "Sighs" at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, under the patronage of HRH Princess Rajwa bint Ali. His art often features dervishes and musicians, reflecting themes of spirituality and Arabic music. Critics have noted that his works evoke a sense of movement and sound, capturing the essence of cultural and musical traditions.
