Jordan, b. 1981

Dalia Abu Hantash, born in 1981 in Kuwait, is a Jordanian visual artist renowned for her impressionistic and abstract works that delve into themes of womanhood, childhood, and spirituality. Holding a master's degree in embryology, she balances her scientific career as an embryologist at Amman Surgical Hospital with her artistic pursuits.

Abu Hantash's art is characterized by a delicate interplay of colors and forms, often omitting facial features to invite viewers to project their own identities onto her subjects. Her paintings frequently depict women and children, reflecting her perspective that women possess their own secluded, joyful worlds filled with warmth and happiness. She also incorporates religious motifs, such as mosques, to convey a sense of spiritual peace.

An active member of the Jordanian Plastic Artists Association, the Fine Arts Association, and the Alwan Association for Creativity, Abu Hantash has participated in numerous exhibitions and art workshops. Her solo exhibition, "Dalia's World," was held at Bsema Al-Duq Gallery in July 2023 under the patronage of Duke Mamdouh Bisharat. Through her art, she offers a sanctuary where emotions and thoughts flow freely, transcending the constraints of daily life.
