Charles khoury

Lebanon, b. 1966

Charles Khoury (b. 1966, Lebanon) is a prominent Lebanese artist recognized for his vibrant abstract compositions that often blend organic forms with geometric structures. Working primarily in painting and sculpture, Khoury’s style is characterized by bold colors, dynamic lines, and a playful yet sophisticated approach to abstraction. His works frequently explore themes of movement and transformation, reflecting both personal and collective narratives within the context of contemporary Lebanese art.

Khoury is a founding member of the Lebanese Artists Association for Painters and Sculptors and has exhibited extensively in Lebanon and internationally. Notable institutional exhibitions include solo and group shows at the Sursock Museum in Beirut and participation in regional art fairs such as Art Dubai and Beirut Art Fair. His works have also been featured in exhibitions at the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, further establishing his reputation within the Middle Eastern and European art scenes.

At auction, Charles Khoury’s paintings have appeared at major houses including Christie’s and Sotheby’s, where his works have attracted attention from collectors seeking contemporary Middle Eastern art. His pieces are held in several private and public collections, underscoring his significance in the Lebanese and broader Arab art landscape. Khoury continues to live and work in Beirut, contributing actively to the cultural dialogue through both his artistic practice and involvement in the local art community.
