Bayan Zureikat

Jordan, b. 1994

Bayan Zureikat (born 1994, Jordan) is a contemporary Jordanian artist whose practice spans painting, installation, and mixed media. Zureikat’s work often explores themes of identity, memory, and the intersection of personal and collective narratives, employing vibrant color palettes and layered textures to evoke emotional resonance. Her artistic approach is characterized by a blend of abstraction and figuration, reflecting both her cultural heritage and a broader engagement with global contemporary art dialogues.

Zureikat has exhibited her work in several notable institutional settings, including participation in group exhibitions at Darat al Funun in Amman, a leading center for contemporary Arab art. Her art has also been featured in regional art fairs and exhibitions, contributing to the growing visibility of Jordanian artists on the international stage. While her works have not yet appeared in major international auction houses such as Christie’s, Sotheby’s, or Bonhams, Zureikat continues to gain recognition through institutional exhibitions and critical engagement within the Middle Eastern art scene. Her evolving practice marks her as a significant emerging voice in contemporary Jordanian art.
