Balqees Fakhro (بلقيس فخرو), born in 1950 in Bahrain, is a prominent Bahraini artist recognized for her significant contributions to contemporary art in the Gulf region. Fakhro is best known for her abstract paintings, which often explore themes of memory, place, and the interplay between tradition and modernity. Her work is characterized by a subtle use of color and texture, reflecting both her personal experiences and the broader cultural landscape of Bahrain.
