Aya Abu Ghazaleh

Jordan, b. 1991

Aya Abu Ghazaleh (آية أبو غزالة), born in 1991 in Jordan, is a contemporary visual artist whose practice encompasses painting, drawing, and mixed media. Her work often explores themes of memory, identity, and the interplay between personal and collective histories, employing a nuanced visual language that draws from both traditional and contemporary sources. Abu Ghazaleh’s style is characterized by delicate line work and layered compositions, reflecting her interest in the subtle complexities of human experience.

Abu Ghazaleh has exhibited her work in several notable institutional settings across the Middle East. She has participated in group exhibitions at venues such as Darat al Funun in Amman, a leading institution for contemporary art in Jordan, and has been featured in regional art initiatives that highlight emerging voices from the Arab world. While her work has garnered attention within the regional art scene, there are currently no records of her pieces being offered at major international auction houses such as Christie’s, Sotheby’s, or Bonhams. Aya Abu Ghazaleh continues to live and work in Jordan, contributing to the evolving landscape of contemporary Arab art.
