About the work
A richly textured print divided into two registers — the upper half depicts an urban skyline and a bearded male face amid geometric shapes, while the lower half shows veiled figures merging with ancient architecture, all unified by a row of watchful eyes at the center. The warm brown tones and wood-grain texture lend the work a raw, expressive depth rooted in Iraqi cultural imagery.
