Abeer Barhoom

Jordan

Abeer Barhoom is a Jordanian artist known for her work in painting and sculpture. She has participated in several exhibitions, including the 2015 "Image of the World" exhibition in Italy, where she was selected to join an art symposium alongside 25 other Yemeni artists. In 2019, she took part in the Arab Artists Exhibition in Cairo, earning the Art Oscar award, and also showcased her work at the accompanying art exhibition during the "Hadrami Orchestra" event in Kuala Lumpur. In November 2020, Barhoom established her own art studio, which has become a hub for young artists in Hadramout, offering workshops in painting, sculpture, embroidery, and pottery. Through her art, she addresses social issues, notably with her painting "Early Marriage," which won first place in a competition, though she declined the monetary prize to retain the rights to her work.
