Abdul Jabar Al Banna (عبد الجبار البنا), born in Iraq in 1924 and passing in 2016, was a prominent Iraqi painter recognized for his contributions to the development of modern Iraqi art. Al Banna’s work is characterized by a synthesis of traditional Iraqi themes and modernist techniques, often exploring the interplay between heritage and contemporary expression.
