Abd Alghafar Shaded, born in 1938 in Qalyubia, Egypt, is a distinguished visual artist and art historian whose work intricately weaves elements of Egyptian heritage with contemporary artistic expressions. After earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Cairo's Faculty of Fine Arts in 1962, he pursued advanced studies in Germany, obtaining a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 1973. He further achieved a Master's degree in Art History and Egyptology in 1983, followed by a Doctorate in 1985 from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. Shaded's artistic oeuvre spans painting and graphic arts, characterized by a unique style that reflects his deep engagement with Egyptian culture and history.
