Abd al Rahman Al Maghribi

Saudi Arabia, b. 1970

Abdulrahman Al-Maghribi, born in Jeddah in 1970, is a prominent Saudi Arabian visual artist known for his evocative paintings that blend traditional motifs with contemporary techniques. He earned a master's degree in art criticism and appreciation in 2000 and has been an active participant in the art scene since 1991.

Al-Maghribi has held several solo exhibitions, including "The Blue Color Neigh" at Atelier Jeddah in 1999, "Faces from Memory" in 2001, and "Memory of the Wall" at Atelier Jeddah in 2006. His international presence includes exhibitions in Egypt, Tunisia, Bahrain, Turkey, Algeria, France, Senegal, Yemen, and Lebanon.

Throughout his career, Al-Maghribi has received numerous accolades, such as the first prize at the Souq Okaz Festival, the first prize in the "Jusft" competition, and the first prize in the "Maqamat Art" competition. His works are part of esteemed collections, including the Abdul Raouf Khalil Museum, Saudi Aramco, and the private collections of Princess Atab bint Sultan and Sheikh Saleh Al-Turki.
