Ayyam Gallery is one of the Arab world's leading commercial galleries, founded in Damascus in 2006 and now based at Alserkal Avenue in Dubai. It champions established and emerging modern and contemporary artists from the Levant and the wider region.
Founded in Damascus in 2006 by cousins Khaled and Hisham Samawi, Ayyam Gallery became one of the most influential platforms for contemporary art from Syria and the Arab world. After the war in Syria, the gallery relocated its base to Dubai, where it was the first gallery to open at Alserkal Avenue.
Ayyam has been central to building a market for modern and contemporary Arab art, through its exhibitions, its support of artists in exile, and initiatives such as the Ayyam Young Collectors auctions. It represents many of the region's most significant names.
