Zainab Abdul Kareem

Zainab Abdul Kareem, born in Baghdad in 1972, is an Iraqi visual artist and designer known for her contributions to contemporary art. She graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1992 and earned a degree from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Baghdad in 1995. In 2006, she obtained a diploma in painting restoration from the Faculty of Restoration in Litomyšl, Czech Republic. Abdul Kareem has held several solo exhibitions, including her first in 1990, followed by "Transferring State" in 1995, and another in 1999. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions both within Iraq and internationally, such as the Contemporary Iraqi Art Exhibition in Pakistan, Oman, and Beirut in 2001, and a joint exhibition in Paris in 2001.
