Waddah Alward (وضاح الورد), born on May 14, 1938, in Baghdad, Iraq, was a prominent Iraqi artist renowned for his contributions to impressionist art. He graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in 1959 with a diploma in painting and sculpture. In 1961, he became a member of the Iraqi Artists Association, and in 1992, he joined the Iraqi Artists Syndicate. In 1998, he became part of the Iraqi Impressionists Group.
