Turki Abdul Ameer, born in 1941 in Maysan Governorate, Iraq, is a distinguished artist known for his contributions to the Iraqi art scene. He completed his primary and secondary education in Iraq before graduating with a diploma from the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad in 1962. Furthering his studies, he obtained a diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome between 1975 and 1979.
