Reem Hasan

Reem Hassan is an award-winning Egyptian artist and professor born in Alexandria, where she earned her BFA, MFA and a PhD in the Philosophy of Art from Alexandria University. She works across painting, sculpture, conceptual art and performance, with an early affinity for abstraction built on rhythmic, intersecting line and colour. An associate professor in the Painting Department at Alexandria's Faculty of Fine Arts, she lives and works between Alexandria and Riyadh.
