(نعمت الديواني)Egypt
Neamat El Diwany, an Egyptian artist born in Havana, Cuba, has cultivated a distinctive artistic voice that intertwines human figures with elements of nature, such as plants and animals, to explore themes of spirituality, self-reflection, and the pursuit of inner harmony. Her work is characterized by warm, vibrant colors that invite viewers into contemplative spaces, reflecting her vision of a world filled with goodness and beauty.
El Diwany's artistic journey began in earnest in 2008 when she resigned from her position at the American University in Cairo to fully dedicate herself to art. Initially focusing on photography, she transitioned to painting in 2009. Her formal art education includes studies under Dr. Mostafa El Razaz in Egypt and further training at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. She held her first solo exhibition in 2011 at the Gezira Art Center in Cairo. Subsequent notable exhibitions include "Equanimity" at Picasso Art Gallery in 2019 and "When Magnolias Bloom" at Zamalek Art Gallery in 2022. Her works are part of the collection at the Egyptian Museum of Modern Art and are held by various private collectors.
El Diwany's paintings often depict serene, utopian scenes that encourage viewers to reflect on their inner selves and the positive aspects of human nature. Through her art, she seeks to inspire a sense of peace and balance, offering a visual sanctuary amidst the complexities of modern life.
